It was definitely a cold Fall Sunday in New England. Still, I managed to get out and try and pretend I wasn't freezing at Shaw Park in Gorham, Maine. The sun was trying to peak through at times and other than the wind it really wasn't all that bad. If you're in the area Shaw Park is a great place to take a walk. A River separates two boat launches on either side of the park as well as a beach area and you can follow the trail to a bridge along the train tracks. There are also many rec fields on one side of the park as well as historical trails of the old Cumberland and Oxford Canal. You can find more information on Shaw Park here.
Below is a photo of my Fjallraven rucksack. If you're looking for a quality back pack that you'll be able to use anywhere you can't go wrong with Fjallraven. They have lots of different sizes and styles, but I picked this one to mainly use hiking or out on adventures to hold my camera, snacks, extra clothes or anything else I might need. Fjallraven is a Sweedish company specializing in outdoor clothing and equipment and was founded in 1960. You can check out more of Fjallraven's products here.
Above is a photo of some L.L.Bean footwear. I bought my first pair of L.L.Bean walking/hiking shoes this year and I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I can remember ever owning. One of the more proud Maine brands with probably the best customer service and return policies anywhere. You can find more L.L.Bean products here.
